Mabi company is born through the ambition of its founder, Marc Bidaux, to contribute to the improvement of work conditions with the manufacturing of innovative and high-quality machines to ease the repetitive and constraining tasks from the workers. So, arrived on the market since 1967 the injectors, then the pumps and in the 80 the ergonomic strippers Scrap’air.
Among the different Mabi machines, the Scrap’air range is the one that benefit from the most improvements in term of evolution and innovation. Today, the ergonomic stripper Scrap’air are available in several lengths with different handles and anti-vibration systems.
INNOVATION FOR HEALTH AT WORK
First available with one length and one power, the ergonomic stripper Scrap’air have quickly convinced professionals from the construction thank to their lightweight and their performance. Further to this craze, Marc Bidaux decided to develop the range offering 4 different powers.
Due to a variety of applications, the second improvement was to adapt the length of the ergonomic stripper Scrap’air for stripping works on floors, on walls and for restricted spaces.
In the 80, a new concept came and completely disrupt the working conditions. Changing the state of mind and the way of working took several decades to become now a days one of the priorities maybe the first one from companies: Health at work. Due to the development of this new notion, factories and also the society have changed to integrate this concept: creation of specialized services in companies like Committees for Health, Safety and Working Conditions, but also boards and inspection agencies like occupational health, training centers, etc… This concept also lead to the creation of new laws and norms such as the one regulating the work time with striking tools based on the vibration rates they cause. That means that the more powerful the machine is, shorter is the recommended use time.
When Olivier Bidaux succeed to his father, he decided to integrate this concept and continue developing the ergonomic stripper Scrap’air range. He has concentrated his work on the improvement of the machines fitting them with anti-vibration systems and ergonomic grips.
